there have been rumors for a while, pretty much ever since that company bought the rights to produce a mechwarrior game.   I'm not surprised in the least.  In fact, I am not even that excited.  I want a new mechwarrior, but I've been waiting so long I've grown bored of waiting. I just hope it is good.

Oh please god... make it like the originals... PLEASE... make it good... you know kinda like how I want Deus Ex 3 to be at least half as good as Deus Ex... FINALLY! WOOT! There are 3 teaser trailers on ign too... but soon everyone will have it so ya...

I used to be a huge fan of the Mechwarrior series, but alas, I've been spoiled utterly rotten by Steel Battalion: Line of Contact.

I wish I could say I was excited about this news, but I'm sure it'll have that same watered-down "mass appeal" they tried to achieve with later entries in the series and Mechassault.

Here's hoping for a full-blown sim, with the deepest customization options yet!

I hope this studio in Vancouver can do Mechwarrior justice. I'm a bit skeptical even if it is true.

I hope to god they make the Ui like that of mechwarrior 3, the roaming reticle was the biggest thing I felt that separated the series from other FPSs, and mechwarrior 4 ruined it by making the reticle fixed. And the customizability of 3 was sweet.

A new Mechwarrior game would be frickin' sweet (provided it's at least halfway decent)!  Please, please, please....

I'm stoked!

Those 3 videos made me bubbly in the pants!

I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of the MechWarrior games - I hated the Xbox versions which didn't quite understand why MechWarrior was awesome - however I'd love to see another one. I still remember MechWarrior 2 blowing my mind.

Hopefully the new game is a simulator game, rather than arcade like MechAssaults. MA2LW was fun really, but it wasn't BattleTech :/
And hopefully there is a console version too (i know 360 pad is a bit limited for a sim... but it would work).

ToSWS is deep... but its not a sim :/ Commanding mechs is fun, driving one around is far more fun. Too bad MW4Mercs doesn't have players anymore really... even if MekTek's making yet another MekPak.

I would also love a new Mechwarrior game. I actually hope for two diffrent games (probebly not going to happend):

1. A simulation style game with RPG content like the earler series.

2. A turnbased "tabletop" game focusing on tactics and stragety. There was one RTS like Mechwarrior game but I can't remember it's name. Like that one but turnbased instead of realtime and much more complex gameplay.

Although any Mechwarrior game will be great aslong as it isn't arcadeish or shootemupish

HELL YEAH!

Everything after Mechwarrior 3 sucked. I hope they won't make it as arcade-style as Microsoft did with Mechwarrior 4.
